So increased population $=p+1200$
Now after $11\%$ decrease population $=p-32$
So total decreased population $=1200+32$
$=1232$
$11\%$ of $1200=1200\times \frac{11}{100}=132$
So, $11\%$ of $p=1232-132$
$=1100$
If $11\%$ of $p=1100$
Then, $1\%$ of $p=\frac{1100}{11}$ and
$100\%$ of $p=\frac{1100}{11}\times 100=10000$
So, original population was $=10000$
