Centripetal force for a body in circular motion is given by
F=mrω2=mr(2πT)2
Elastic force of spring = ka , where, k = force constant of the spring
ka=m(2a)(2πT)2
In the second case, radius of circle = 3a-a = 2a
k(2a)=m(3a)(2πT)2
So,
k(2a)=m(3a)(2πT)2/ka=m(2a)(2πT)2
ka=m(2a)(2πT)2
T=32T
