Let the C.P of each article=100 Rs.
Then C.P. of 16 article=$100\times 16=1600Rs.$
Tradesman earn 35% profit
Then S.P. of 15 article=$\frac{135}{100}\times 1600=2160Rs.$
S.P. of each article=$\frac{2160}{15}=144Rs.$
If S.P is 96 then marked price=100 Rs.
If S.P is 144 then marked price=$\frac{100}{96}\times 144=150Rs.$
$\therefore$ Marked price is 50% above then Cost price
