A train and a car start together from a point. The train's speed is 80 kmph and the car's speed is 60% of the train's speed. The train crosses a station in 15 minutes. How much distance will the car travel in the time the train takes to cross 3 stations? (Assume constant distance between consecutive stations)

The correct option is D 36 km
Speed of the train = 80 kmph
Given, car's speed is 60% of the train's speed
Therefore, speed of the car is
60100×80=48 kmph

Time taken by the train to cross one station = 15 minutes
Time taken by the train to cross 3 stations = 15×3=45 minutes

Distance travelled by car in 1 minute = 4860 = 45 km
So, distance travelled by car in 45 minutes = 4×455 = 36 km
