The correct option is D 120 km/h


Step 1, Given data

Speed of the train is 50% more than the speed of the car

Distance = 75 km

Time lost by the train = 12.5 min = 12.560h

Step 2, Finding the speed

Let the speed of the car be x kmph.

Then, speed of the train =150 x100=3x2 km/h

According to the question

75275(32)x=12510×60

75x50x=524

After solving

x=[25×2450] = 120 km/h

Hence the speed of the car is 120 km/h
