Ratio of the distance travelled = Ratio of the time taken

Let the distance travelled in 12 hours be $x$ .

Then , 520 : $x$ = 10 : 12

$520 \times 12 = x \times 10$

$x = \frac{12 \times 520}{10}$

Hence the distance covered by the train in 12 hours is 624 km
