$5.4Km\setminus hr=5.4\frac{5}{18}m\setminus sec=1.5m\setminus sec$
Let the speed of the train be x m/sec.
then$(x-1.25)\times 8.4=(x-1.5)\times 8.5$
$8.4x-10.5=8.5x-12.75$
$.1x=2.25$
$x=22.5m\setminus sec$
