The correct option is A 176 m
Let the length of the train be x metres and its speed by y m/sec.
Since, Distance=speed×time
Distancespeed=time
xy=8y=x8 .....(i)
and
x+264y=20x+264=20y ....(ii)
Now put y=x8 in (ii). we get,
x+264=20×x8
8(x+264)=20x
8x+2112=20x
12x=2112
x=176
So, length of the train be x=176 metres
Option B is correct.
