Solution

The given wave equation will represent a travelling wave, if y=f(kx±ωt)
Given:
Wave equation,
y=43x2+48t2+24xt+2
y=43(x2+16t2+8xt)+2
y=43(x+4t)2+2
On comparing with form, y=f(kx±ωt), we get,
k=1 and ω=4
So, wave velocity
v=ωk=41=4 m/s
Why this question?
It tends to test the understanding of the fundamental format of a travelling wave.
