Solution

The correct option is D

12 cm

The triangle and the parallelogram lie on the same base of 28 cm. The other sides of the triangle are 26 cm and 30 cm.

Semi-perimeter of the triangle:
s=(a+b+c)2=(26+28+30)2=842=42 cm.

Area of Triangle
ar()=s(sa)(sb)(sc) =42(4226)(4228)(4230) =42×16×14×12 =14×3×16×14×3×4ar()=14×3×4×2=336 cm2

Since, ar()=ar(parallelogram)=336 cm2

Let, Base of Paralellogram = bp=28 cm
Height of Paralellogram = hp
ar(parallelogram)=bp×hp

bp×hp=336hp=33628 cm2=12 cm

Height of Paralellogram is 12 cm.
