Solution

The correct option is A 12 inches

Coordinates of the original triangle
A(0,9), B(0,0), C(12,0)

△ABC is to be dilated with a scale factor
of 13.

So, the new coordinates will be:
A(0,9)=(0×13,9×13)=(0,3)A

B(0,0)=(0×13,0×13)=(0,0)B

C(12,0)=(12×13,0×13)=(4,0)C

Perimeter of the original triangle ABC is
(9 + 12 + 15) inch = 36 inch

Perimeter of the new triangle A'B'C' is:
(3 + 4 + 5) inch = 12 inch

Perimeter of new triangle=Perimeter of original triangle3

Perimeter of new triangle=363
Perimeter of new triangle=12

So, perimeter of the new triangle is
12 inches.
