A triangular field has sides 120 m,80 m and 50 m. Find its area. Also find the cost of fencing it with barbed wire at rs.20 per metre if a space of 3 m wide is to be left for the entry gate on one of its sides. As vegetables are grown in the field for an orphanage, the fencing contractor reduced the rate of fencing by 25. (Use15=3.88)

Dimension of triangle field 120m,80m,50m
perimeter = 120 + 80 + 50
=250m
Area = 125(125120)(12580)12550
=125×5×45×75
=25×5×5×9×5×5×15
=5×5×3×515
=37515
=375(3.88)
=1455m2
cost of fencing = 2503
[perimeter of Remaining fence] = 247
Total cost 247m×Rs20/m
=Rs4940.
as the rate are reduced by 25 %
