Was there any money left in excess or was there a shortfall of it? How much?

The correct option is A Rs 3,066

Contribution by each students$=Rs.500$

Total number of students$=28+45=73$

Hence total collection of money$=500\times 73=Rs.36500$

Total expenses$=9855+3285+5432+8730+6132=Rs.33434$

Since collection is greater then expenses, so money left in excess is rupees:

$=36500-33434=Rs.3066$
