Assuming all the conditions the same for both, truck will travel more distance before coming to an halt than car because it has more inertia. In physics, Inertia is a property possessed by a body by virtue of which it tends to oppose to change its state of motion (or of rest). Inertia is directly proportional to mass & velocity of the body. Velocity being the same, truck has more inertia by virtue of its mass. Hence it will travel more distance than car before it stops.
