Solution

The correct option is D i, ii and iii are true
Given : Height of tower hT=160 m
Radius of earth R=6400km=6.4×106 m
Population density ρ=1200 km2

(i) : Range it covers dT=2RhT=2×6.4×106×160 =45255 m

(ii) : Area covered A=πd2T=3.14×(45255)2 m2=6.431×109 m2=6431 km2
Population covered P=πd2T×ρ=6431×1200=77.42 lakhs

(iii) : dThT hThT=d2Td2T
hT160=22 hT=640 m
Thus increase in height of tower ΔhT=640160=480 m
