The correct option is C 13
Let two numbers are a and b

Now given,
a×b=40...(1)
ab=3....(2)

From eq2
a=3+b
Now put the value of a in eq 1

(3+b)×b=40
b2+3b=40
b2+3b40=0

Now factorizing the equation
b2+8b5b40=0
b(b+8)5(b+8)=0
(b+8)(b5)=0
We have two values of b
b=8,5

We take positive value b=5
Now place the value in eq2
a5=3
a=8

Sum of these two digits
a+b8+5=13
