$N_A=3$
$N_B=30$
$\frac{N_A}{N_B}=\frac{3}{30}=1:30$
Gear ratio$=1:10$
Gain in torque$=\frac{N_B}{N_A}=\frac{30}{3}=10$
For gain in torque, wheel of $30$ teeth is used as driven wheel and the wheel of $3$ teeth is used as driving wheel$;$ i.e. $N_A=3,N_B=30$
