Question

A uniform but time varying magnetic field B = K1K2t where K1 & K2 are positive constants and t is time (in seconds), is applied perpendicular to the plane of a circular loop of radius a and resistance R.Find the total charge (in coulomb) that will pass through any point of the loop by the time B becomes zero. [Given a = 2m, R = πΩ,K1 = 2T]

Solution

e = dϕdt=πa2dBdt=πa2K2;

I=eR=πa2K2R ; $

At t=t1 ; B=0 t1=K1K2

So charge flown = It1=(πa2K2R)(K1K2)

=πa2K1R=8C
