A uniform plank of a see-saw is 5m long and supported at its center. A boy weighing 40kgf sits at a distance of 1.5m from one end of the see-saw whereas must a girl weighing 25kgf sit on the other end of the see-saw so as to balance the boy.

Here, in the above question, we will use the formula

Effort x effort arm = load x load arm

Given that,

effort = 25N

load = 40 N

load arm = 1m

effort arm = x

by this we can write it as,

25 x X = 40 x 1

x = 1.6m

2.Conclusion:

Hence, the distance from the other end to be placed is 1.6m
