Velocity of wave in the string v=Tμ,
Mass per unit length of the string
μ=0.12.5
At topmost point
T=0.1×10=1 N,

Velocity at upper point v=1×25
v=5 m/s
Now, at 0.5 m distance from lower point
Tension
T=12.5×0.5=15 N
Velocity of wave is
v=15×251=5=2.24 m/s.
