moment Inertia of triangle at base I=16mass×height2

IBC=16M(l2)2=ML212

IAB=16M(l2)2=ML212

Apply perpendicular axis theorem

I=IBC+IAB=ML212+ML212= ML26kgm2

the moment of inertia of this plate about an axis passing through point BB and perpendicular to the plane of the plate is ML26kgm2
