A vaccine that saves babies from three diseases.
Vaccine: A vaccine is a form of inducing passive immunity by the injection of weakened or dead pathogens. This leads to the induction of the immune system and builds an immune memory to prepare the body for a future invasion by that particular pathogen.
The vaccine that saves babies from three diseases is DPT (Diphtheria Pertussis Tetanus) vaccine.
DPT is given to babies or children at ages 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 15 to 18 months, and 4 to 6 years (before school entry). Diphtheria a Corynebacterium disease, Pertussis a Bordetella disease, and Tetanus a Clostridium disease these are all bacterial diseases that are prevented by the DPT vaccine.
