Only one root is common:
Let α be the common root, then
α2b1c2b2c1=αa2c1a1c2=1a1b2a2b1

Above Formula is used to find common root between
a1x2+b1x+c1=0
a2x2+b2x+c2=0

Now comparing given equations with above mentioned standard Equation
we get

a1=1,b1=b,c1=1 and a2=1,b2=1,c2=b

Now ptting above values in the given formula we get
α2b2(1)=α1b=11b

now α2=b2+11b ...... (1)

and α=b+1b1 ....... (2)

Putting value of α in (1), we get

(b+1b1)2 = b2+11b

Solving further we get

b2+2b+1=b2b3+1b
3b=b3
b2=3
b=+i3,i3

Therefore answer is (B)
