Question

A vehicle is acccelarating on a straight road. Its velocity at an instant is 30km/hr. After 2 sec ,it is 33.6 km/hr and after further 2sec it is 37.2 km/hr. Find the accelaration is m/sec.

Solution

The body's Initial velocity is 30 km/h and after 4 seconds it is 37.2 km/h.Then
Acceleration = V-U/T => 37.2 - 30 / 4 =
1.8 m/s^2
.To verify the answer we have to take the first statement i.e. "after 2 seconds it is 33.6 km/h"
so 1.8 m/s^2 × 2 = 3.6 m/s which adds upto 33.6 km /h
dso the acceleration is uniform.And the acceleration is 1.8m/s^2
