Solution
The correct option is C20% Cost price of each dozen =12
Number of dozen =25
Total CP=12×25
=Rs.300
Three dozen are thrown away and 10 dozen sold at Rs.18 per dozen.
SP1=18×10=180
Now, vendor will be left with 25−3−10 that is 12 dozens of banana. In 1 dozen there are 12 banana. So,
Total banana left =12×12
=144
These are sold at Rs.1.25 per banana,
SP2=1.25×144
=Rs.180
Total SP=SP1+SP2
=180+180
=Rs.360
Profit %=SP−CPCP×100
=360−300300×100
=60300×100
=20%
Hence, the vendor made a profit of 20% after selling the bananas.
