A vessel is filled with an ideal gas at a pressure of 20 atm and is at a temperature of 27C. One-half of the mass is removed from the vessel and the temperature of the remaining gas is increased to 87C. At this temperature find the pressure of the gas.

Since the volume of gas is kept constant,

PnT=constant

20n(300)=P0.5n(360)

P=12atm

Answer is 12atm.
