$70\%m+30\%w=\frac{120}{40}\times 60=180$ litres ------ (1)
30% of m + 70% w = 120 litres ------- (2)
$7\times \left(2\right)–3\times \left(1\right)=400$ Original quantity of water=75 litres
Therefore, quantity of milk = 300-75=225 litres
Amount of milk and water left $=\frac{30}{100}\times 225\text{and}\frac{70}{100}\times 75=67.5$ litres and 52.5 litres
