The correct option is B 5h42

Let, the apparent height of the object is ha. So, we can write,
ha=ha1+ha2....(1)

Since, the object is being look from the top, so apparent height due to the liquid having refractive index 22 is
ha1=hr1μ1=h2×2×2

Similarly, ha2=hr2μ2=h2

From equation (1),
ha=h2×2×2+h2

ha=h2[14+1]

ha=5h42

Hence, option (b) is correct answer.
