A water park had dolphins and penguins in the ratio of 2:5. The park had 35 penguins. If the number of penguins is doubled and the number of dolphins is halved, then find the present ratio of the dolphins to penguins.

The correct option is C 1:10
Ratio of dolphins to penguins = 2 : 5
Number of penguins in the zoo = 35
Let the number of dophins will be = x
= 2:5:: x: 35,
x = 14 = number of dolphins
Now, the number of penguins have doubled and the number of dolphins have halved.
Number of penguins = 35×2 = 70
Number of dolphins = 142 = 7
Hence, the present ratio of dolphins to penguins = 7:70 = 1:10
