Volume of tank $=l\times b\times h$
$=4\times 2\times \frac{50}{100}{\text{m}}^3$
$=4{\text{m}}^3$
$\therefore$ Volume of water tank $=4{\text{m}}^3$
$1{\text{m}}^3=1000\text{L}$
$4{\text{m}}^3=(4\times 1000)\text{L}$
$=4000$ litres of water can be stored in tank.
