The correct option is B
It will take 1.5 mins to empty completely

The rate at which tank is emptied is more than the rate at which tank is filled.

Both the pipes are open= $\frac{5 - 3}{5 \times 3} = \frac{2}{15}$ .

Water level in the tank is $\frac{1}{5}$ .

Therefore $\frac{1}{5} \times \frac{15}{2}$ = 1.5 minutes
So, it will take 1.5 minutes to empty the tank.
