An antinode occurs at x = 0.3 m


y(x , t)= 0.02 cos (10 π x) cos (50 π t + π2)

At node , amplitude = 0

cos(10 πx) = 0 10 πx = π2 , 3π2

x = 120 = 0.05 m , 0.15 m ..

At antinode , amplitude is maximum

cos (10 πx) = ± 1 x = 0 , π, 2π

x = 0 , 0.1m, 0.2 m ..

Now λ = 2 × Distance between two nodes or antinodes

= 2 × 0.1= 0.2 m and 2πvtλ = 50 π t

v = 25 λ = 25 ×0.2=5ms1
