Solution

The correct options are
A

A displacement node occurs at x = 0.15 m

B

An antinode occurs at x = 0.3 m

C

The wavelength of the wave is 0.2 m

D

The speed of the wave is 5.0 m/s

y=0.02 cos(10πx)cos50πt+π2

At node, amplitude = 0

cos(10πx)=010πx=π2,3π2

x=120=0.05 m,0.15 m.......

At antinode, amplitude is maximum

cos(10πx)=±1x=0,π,2π....

x=0,0.1 m,0.2 m....

Now λ=2×Distance between two nodes or antinodes

=2×0.1=0.2 m and 2πvtλ=50πt

v=25λ=25×0.2=5 m/sec.
