Given that, the displacement of a particle is
y=Asin(ωtkx) ......(i)
The particle velocity
vp=dydt ......(ii)
Now, on differentiating equation (i) with respect to, t,
dydt=Acos(ωtkx)ω
dydt=Aωcos(ωtkx)
From equation (ii)
vp=Aωcos(ωtkx)
For maximum particle velocity,
cos(ωtkx)=1
So, vp=Aω×1
vp=Aω
