Solution

Dear student,

(i) when Zn is added in copper sulphate solution which is blue in colour , it gives zinc sulphate and copper as;
Zn + CuSO4 ZnSO4 + Cu
The formed zinc sulphate is colourless salt hence , brown colour of copper settle at the bottom of flask.
The blue colour changes to colourless

(ii) when we add lead to cupric chloride solution which is blue-green colour in nature formed the product lead chloride and copper as:
Pb + CuCl2 PbCl2 + Cu
The colour of formed product lead chloride is white (colourless)
The colour change is from blue-green to colouless
In both the cases we get colourless solution
