(a) Aqua-regia is a mixture of 3 parts of cone. HCI and one part of cone. $HN{O}_3$.
(b) Uses of aqua-regia :
It is used for refining of the noble metals like gold and platinum.
(c) In the preparation of aqua-regia, conc. HCI on oxidation with conc. $HN{O}_3$ produces nascent chlorine which reacts with the noble metals.
