Solution

Geographical isolation means certain geographical conditions that have separated some species of interbreeding population so that they can not reproduce with each other due to this physical or geographical barrier. For examples: Long mountain ranges in the example of beetle population. This type of isolation gradually generates a new species in different geographical situation due to the accumulation of specific variations in this isolated population.
OR
A physical barrier like valley, mountains etc. develops between two populations of a species. Each seperated population accumulates its own variations in structure ,physiology and behaviour so that the members of seperated populations are unable to interbreed even if brought together.this is known as geographical isolation.please thmbs up
