  1. The increasing order of their atomic weight in which all the elements were arranged in Mendeleev's periodic table.
  2. Similarities in the chemical properties of the elements( Chemical properties are the properties of elements and how they react with other elements or compounds).

(b) Mendeleev's periodic law: Physical and chemical properties of elements are the periodic functions of their atomic masses.
