a) When breakdown of glucose occurs with the use of oxygen it is called aerobic aerobic respiration. Food can also be broken down, without using oxygen. This is called anaerobic respiration.

b) Dome-shaped, muscular and membranous structure that separates the thoracic (chest) and abdominal cavities in mammals and helps in breathing.
