when the wave travel from one medium to another its one character does not changes which is frequency because it only depends upon source what ever the frequency of source , the wave propagate with same wave.
the ratio of

μ1 μ2=cv1cv2 (here v1 and v2 are speed of wave in medium and c is speed of light wave)μ1 μ2=v2v1
