(a) Work is said to be done when a force is applied on an object and the object moves due to the force in the direction of the force.
The work done by a body in moving up against gravity = mgh

where m is mass, g is the acceleration due to gravity and h is the height.
(b) Given,

Force = F = 2 N

Displacement = s =10 cm = 0.1 m
W equals F cross times d equals 2 cross times 10 over 100 equals 0.2 space J
