Given here is a diagram for the technique of gel electrophoresis in which the band of DNA is separated on the basis of the size of the strands.
The DNA segments which are thinner move forward as they can pass through the sieves of the agar-agar Matrix.
As we can see in the diagram there are four different bands.
The DNA is negatively charged so it moves towards the positively charged anode, therefore, the anode and is the right side of the diagram i.e B end.
In the Bands, the DNA fragments move forward because they are thinner in size as compared to the bands above them, and they can move through the matrix of the agar-agar as they are thin in size.
