At the moment t=0 a connector starts sliding in y direction from the parabola apex with a constant acceleration ω (Figure). The emf in the loop is the motional emf induced in length AC of the sliding connector.
PC=x=ya
Length AC=2x=2ya
Velocity of the connector after it gets displaced by y is given by
V2=2ωy
or, V=2ωy
Emf induced in AC is ε=BlV
=B(2ya)(2ωy)
=yB8ωa
