Given:
Distance of object, u=25 cm
Focal length, f=10 cm
Object height, lo=3 cm
On applying mirror formula,
1v+1u=1f
1v125=110
1v=350
v=503
Linear magnification, m=vu=50325=23
Side length of the image of the square,
l=li=lo×|m|=3×23=2 cm
So, the area of the image of the square,
A=(l)2=22=4 cm2
