Area of 1st wire; A1=2×10−6 mm2
Area of 2nd wire; A2=8×10−6 mm2 ΔL1=0.1×10−3 m
As length, force on wire and material of wire are same. ∴L1=L2,F1=F2,Y1=Y2
We know, ΔL=FLAY ∴ΔL1=F1L1A1Y1
