Solution

Answer :

Let width of rectangle = x cm

And given length is 5 cm more than its width , So

Length of rectangle = (x + 5) cm

Also given A wire of length 150 cm is bent in a form of rectangle , So

Perimeter of rectangle = 150 cm

We know perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( Length + Width ) , So

2 ( x + 5 + x ) = 150

2x + 5 = 75

2x = 70

x = 35

So,

Width of rectangle = 35 cm

And

Length of rectangle = 35 + 5 = 40 cm ( Ans )
