The correct option is B

43 Ohm.


The resistance is cut into 3 equal pieces and hence the resistance of each piece is the same. Consider the equivalent resistance across BC(fig).
Here, RAB and RAC are in series and
Req=RAB+RAC=2Ω+2Ω=4Ω
Now, this 4Ω will be parallel to RBC=2Ω
1Req=14+12=1+24=34
Req=43Ω
