Down syndrome also known as trisomy 21, is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of a third copy of chromosome 21. It leads to individuals having short stature, furrowed tongue and partially open moutrh. They also have a characteristic palm crease. Physical and mental development is retarded.
Super females are seen as a result of Klinefelter's syndrome in which the individual has an additional copy of the X chromosome (XXY).
Turner's syndrome is a disorder caused due to the absence of an X chromosome (XO).
