A wooden cylindrical pole is 7 m high and its base radius is 10 cm. Find its weight if the wood weighs 225 kg per cubic metre.

Radius of the base of pole (r)=10 cm=10100m=110 m [1 m=100 cm]

and height (h)=7 m.

Volume of cylindrical wooden pole =πr2h

=227×110×110×7 m3

=22100 m3

Weight of 1 cubic metre =225 kg

Total weight of the wooden pole =22100×225=4950100

=49.5 kg
