A wooden cylindrical pole is 7 m high and its base radius is 10 cm. Find its weight if the wood weighs 225 kg per cubic metre.
Radius of the base of pole (r)=10 cm=10100m=110 m [∵1 m=100 cm]
and height (h)=7 m.
∴ Volume of cylindrical wooden pole =πr2h
=227×110×110×7 m3
=22100 m3
Weight of 1 cubic metre =225 kg
∴ Total weight of the wooden pole =22100×225=4950100
=49.5 kg
