A wooden piece weighs 5 kg. A single pebble weighs 50 g. How many pebbles are needed to balance the weighing balance?

When a weighing balance balances, the weight on both sides of the balance will be equal.
So we have to add pebbles to make 5 kg on the other pan.
5 kg = 5000 g
Number of pebbles needed will be,
5000/50 = (50 x 100)/50 = 100

So, 100 pebbles will weigh 5 kg.
